Abhishiktananda Centenary

The year 2010 marks the one-hundredth anniversary of the birth of Henri Le Saux, the French Benedictine monk who is one of the great pioneers of monastic interreligious dialogue.
To commemorate this anniversary and to reflect on the meaning of Abhishiktananda’s life and teaching for our time, a symposium was held at Shantivanam, the ashram he and Fr. Jules Monchanin founded in 1950. Two reports on that symposium can be found in the current issue of the Bulletin, English, the other in French. There is also a photo album of the symposium.
